Technical Manager (hybrid - Valencia, CA)

We are looking to expand our team by adding a talented and driven Technical Manager (hybrid - Valencia, CA) for our manufacturing client. This person will oversee the management of a niche Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platform designed for the packaging industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of technical and managerial tasks, including Business Systems Analysis, Development, Quality Assurance, and Project Management. This is a unique opportunity for a generalist who can handle multiple responsibilities and work independently.

What You’ll Do:

Business Systems Analysis (BSA)

• Conduct thorough analysis of business needs and requirements related to the ERP platform.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements.

Development

• Manage and implement customizations and integrations within the ERP platform.
• Ensure that all development work aligns with best practices and company standards.

Quality Assurance (QA)

• Develop and execute comprehensive testing plans to ensure system reliability and performance.
• Identify and resolve technical issues promptly.

Project Management

• Plan, coordinate, and execute projects related to the ERP platform, including upgrades, migrations, and new feature implementations.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.

Technical Support

• Provide technical support and training to end-users on the ERP platform.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.

Reporting and Analytics

• Develop and maintain reports and analytics to support business decision-making.
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy within the system.

Collaboration and Communication

• Work closely with internal stakeholders to align technical solutions with business objectives.
• Communicate technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications:

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in ERP systems, preferably those used in the packaging industry.
• Strong experience in software development using Java and C#.
• Familiarity with software development methodologies and tools.
• Strong understanding of database management principles.
• Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.

Soft Skills

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proven ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience

• At least 5 years of experience in a technical role, preferably in a similar industry or with ERP systems.
• Experience in managing multiple aspects of a technical project (development, QA, project management).

Location: hybrid work schedule, with 4 days onsite in Valencia, CA
