General Description:
Our customers rely heavily on our test and inspection department to keep their facilities in compliance with the State. Our fire safety inspection technicians focus on the property’s kitchen hood suppression system, fire extinguishers, and fire alarm systems.
Fire Safety Inspection Technician - Essential Duties
· Use mobile app to access job assignments.
· Use app to log travel and labor hours in real time.
· Complete work order with a detailed resolution.
· Maintain accurate records of all services performed, mileage, expenses, and billable hours.
· Perform routine inspections (suppression systems, fire panels, extinguishers) as scheduled.
· Ensure all equipment is tagged as necessary.
· Ensure local, state, and national codes are followed.
· Timely provide the accurate inspection forms attached to the work order or uploaded to SharePoint for distribution.
· Continuously follow safety measures and protocols.
· Report or suggest additional repairs/service that may be needed.
· Report potentially dangerous or damaged equipment to point of contact on site and take steps to resolve issue.
· Communicate effectively with VP, co-workers, and office staff when necessary.
· Timely respond to all messages and emails.
· Maintain company vehicle and associated inventory in the vehicle.
· Appropriately use company resources and time.
· Maintain a professional appearance and demonstrate professional conduct.
· Promote and sell additional products and services.
· Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
· Can lift and carry a minimum of 50lbs.
· Can push and pull greater than 50lbs.
· Can safely climb a ladder.
· Can use man lift reaching heights exceeding 40ft to perform service.
· Can stand, sit, bend, and walk for long periods of time.
· Can safely work in confined spaces.
· Can use hands and arms sufficiently to move, set up, adjust, assemble, control, test, operate, feel, and reach objects, tools, and controls.
· Can withstand exposure to distracting and/or uncomfortable sound and noise levels.
· Can withstand exposure to hot, cold, wet, humid, icy, snowy, and windy conditions caused by weather.
· Can safely endure extended drive times.
· Is detail-oriented and organized.
· Can communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
· Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills.
· Ability to use Smart Phone/Tablet Apps for Dispatching Software.
· Has a valid driver’s license.
· Can pass drug screen upon hire and periodically.
· Can continuously be able to meet the company’s automobile insurance requirements.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
