Job Summary
We are seeking a recruiter who will be responsible for managing the full-cycle recruitment process while also contributing to SafeCare®’s employer branding and candidate outreach strategy. This position requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to identify and attract high-quality candidates across various roles. Approximately 25% of this position’s responsibilities involve using marketing tools and strategies to help promote job opportunities, drive awareness of company culture, and support recruitment campaigns.
This position reports to the Vice President of Employee Engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Establishes trust and rapport with candidates by being open and honest throughout the recruitment process ensuring candidates feel respected and valued, fostering mutual respect and a transparent hiring process.
- Provides clear, realistic job descriptions and is upfront about company culture, ensuring that candidates have a genuine understanding of what to expect.
- Maintains authenticity by being clear and direct in communication, building trust within the organization.
- Seeks collaboration opportunities with other divisions to broaden their understanding of SafeCare®’s operations.
- Creates and promotes mentorship opportunities to build a stronger pipeline for internal promotions.
- Ensures every candidate is evaluated based on their skills and potential, rather than bias, demonstrates strong character and does what is right by maintaining ethical hiring practices, even when the process isn't fully visible to others.
- Protects the confidentiality of candidates' personal information and maintains discretion throughout the process.
- Upholds high standards by ensuring work is done correctly and meets the company's quality benchmarks.
- Shows responsibility and reliability in overseeing multiple tasks while maintaining high standards.
- Safeguards sensitive company and employee information, ensuring all data is protected and handled with discretion. Communicates only what is necessary to the right parties to maintain trust and legal compliance.
- Offers guidance, answers questions, and helps candidates navigate interviews, prioritizing building relationships and ensures candidates feel supported and cared for during what can be a stressful process.
- Provides Constructive Feedback to Candidates
- Evaluates candidates not only for current job openings but also for their alignment with company culture and potential for future growth. Looks beyond immediate need to identify individuals who can thrive long-term and contribute to the organization’s evolving goals.
- Meets hiring deadlines, even for hard-to-fill positions, remaining focused and persistent, ensuring that the right candidates are hired, even when faced with recruitment challenges.
- Actively seeks ways to improve sourcing strategies, reduce time-to-hire, and enhances candidate experience, always looking for creative solutions to recruitment challenges.
- Reflects a commitment to self-improvement and staying informed about business practices and market trends.
- Participates in at least 50% company-wide activity/event/outing, annually.
- Makes the recruitment process enjoyable, both for the company and candidates, adding an element of fun to hiring.
- Brings energy and enthusiasm to career fairs, interviews, and on-boarding, creating a fun and engaging atmosphere that aligns with the company’s culture of enjoyment at work.
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized with excellent time management and follow-through.
- Familiarity with recruiting tools, platforms, and applicant tracking systems.
- Basic knowledge of marketing or employer branding strategies.
- Experience using platforms such as LinkedIn, really, and social media for sourcing.
- Strong writing and editing skills for job postings and recruitment materials.
- Ability to manage multiple job openings and priorities simultaneously.
- Creative thinking and ability to problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and meet company insurance requirements.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen upon hire and periodically.
- Previous recruiting or HR experience preferred; marketing experience a plus.
