Position Overview:
We are looking for a reliable and professional Apartment Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our residents, guests, and property. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of responsibility, excellent communication skills, and the ability to remain calm in emergency situations. The Security Guard will patrol the premises, monitor security systems, and respond to incidents in a timely and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patrol the apartment complex, including common areas, parking lots, and perimeter, to deter and detect any unauthorized activity or security breaches.
- Monitor surveillance cameras and security systems to ensure proper functioning and report any issues or malfunctions.
- Provide assistance to residents and guests as needed, including answering questions and giving directions.
- Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or emergency situations, and take appropriate action based on protocols.
- Enforce building policies, including checking visitor access, issuing parking permits, and ensuring the safety of communal areas.
- Report any incidents, accidents, or suspicious activities to the building management or local authorities as required.
- Maintain a professional and approachable demeanor when interacting with residents and staff.
- Write clear and concise reports on incidents, activities, and any irregularities observed during patrols.
- Assist with ensuring compliance with fire and safety regulations.
- Act as a visible deterrent to crime and maintain a secure environment for all tenants.
Qualifications:
- Previous security experience preferred, but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to stay alert during long shifts.
- Good physical condition, as the role involves patrolling large areas.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Certification or training in security (e.g., first aid, CPR, or security guard training) is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand or walk for long periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
- Ability to climb stairs and respond quickly to any emergencies.
