SafeLease is a high-growth startup redefining the insurance industry through strategic acquisitions and a vertically integrated approach to insurance program creation. We are seeking a Director of Business Development to lead our M&A strategy, source and evaluate acquisition targets, and execute high-impact deals. In this role, you will work closely with executive leadership to drive strategic initiatives, conduct due diligence, and expand our portfolio of insurance solutions. This is a hybrid role based in downtown Austin, Texas.
What You'll Do
- Develop and execute SafeLease's M&A strategy, identifying acquisition opportunities that align with our growth objectives.
- Lead market research and competitive analysis to assess trends, emerging opportunities, and potential acquisition targets.
- Own the deal pipeline, from sourcing and initial outreach to negotiation, structuring, and closing transactions.
- Conduct financial modeling, valuation analysis, and due diligence to assess investment opportunities.
- Work cross-functionally with finance, legal, and operations teams to ensure smooth deal execution and post-merger integration.
- Build and maintain relationships with key industry stakeholders, including brokers, insurance carriers, and potential acquisition targets.
- Drive SafeLease’s corporate development efforts, identifying strategic partnerships that expand our insurance offerings.
- Provide executive leadership with insights and recommendations to inform long-term business strategy.
