Position Title: Bilingual Outreach Manager and Clinician

Salary Range: Based on experience and education

Coordinates and manages outreach activities to include education and advocacy in the community to increase awareness of violence abuse and exploitation, available services, and link survivors to services. In addition, the position will educate the community about prevention, the importance of addressing issues, and the challenges associated with survivors.

Provides bilingual clinical individual (child and adult) and group counseling services to survivors of interpersonal violence, abuse and exploitation (i. e. domestic/family violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, elder abuse and child abuse, neglect, and exploitation). Evening or weekend hours are flexible based on your client’s availability.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities:

Outreach 30%

· Oversight of all outreach presentations/curriculums for the community to include but not limited to expansion: Safelight 101, Second Steps, and Darkness to Light, Teach to Reach for Trafficking prevention, etc.

· Outreach efforts to identify and put into place appropriate tools, assessments, forms, and language for human trafficking.

· Represent Safelight by attending networking events, participating in workshops or conferences, and giving presentations for education, advocacy and recruiting volunteers.

· Assist with the development of programs and curriculum/collateral presentation material and content for use in training. Ensure curriculum is well organized on public share drive so it is accessible and replicable by other staff.

· Stay abreast of current events, data and policy initiatives, and best practices that have the potential to impact our programs and services.

· Maintain knowledge of local community resources and ensures clients can access needed services via on-site service provision and community providers. Build and strengthen partnerships with agencies and organizations we partner with to expand our outreach services.

· Develop and implement a plan that includes strategies to increase overall levels of awareness and to target hard-to-reach or vulnerable populations. Conduct research to find best practices for marketing, education, advocacy, and coalition building to help address emerging issues and challenges related to our population.

Direct therapeutic services: 50%

· Provides direct support to a caseload of clients receiving individual and group therapeutic services.

· Facilitation of psycho-educational support group(s) for survivors once per week.

· Flexible schedule to support after school hours for child sessions in schedule.

· Maintain knowledge of local community resources and ensure clients can access needed services via on-site service provision and with community providers.

· Develop and monitor individual treatment plans to address client needs. With the client, develops and monitors personal goals, needs and outcomes for service planning and evaluation.

· Provide assessment, evaluation, and intervention for clients and groups.

· A client advocate to intercede on behalf of client to ensure equity and appropriate services.

· Resource assessment and development, with referrals to other agencies as needed.

· Assesses clients on a continuous basis to address barriers, which hinder stability and progress. Requires regular follow-up with client to address specific performance measures.

· Service coordination, to include coordination of community-based support and participation in interagency case staffing.

· Ongoing case monitoring and problem solving to address participant’s needs to include case termination and transfer, as necessary. Re-evaluation activities including but not limited to team staffing with designated reviewers.

· Ensure that all contacts with survivors and all appropriate information about abusers is maintained in the computer client data system. Ensure that client records are maintained and that services are documented.

· Hospital/SANE exam accompaniment and Pathways/Camp Hope America as required.

Record Keeping - Database and Reporting: 20%

· Track and complete data reports as needed for outreach activities (Osnium, Excel).

· Complete and report on monthly outcomes and other data requirements as needed.

· Coordinate with Safelight direct service providers. Participate in professional collaborations for the best interest of survivors and the community.

· Basic skills in client data system (Osnium) and office suite maintained for job. Ensure that all contacts with survivors and all appropriate information about abusers is maintained in the computer client data system. Ensure that client records are maintained and that services are documented.

· Basic skills in Google Suite for teletherapy, Google Voice for telephone use with clients.

· Check voice mail and email when on schedule at minimum twice a day.

· Attending required meetings including weekly treatment team, shelter case staffing when appropriate, staff training, staff meetings, supervisory meetings. Zoom may be used as needed for meetings, not counseling.

· Receive therapeutic training related to the position.

· Assisting upon request in other programs, training or certifications as requested.

· Other duties assigned are to meet the needs of the agency and those it serves.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

· Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Professional Counselor license required for North Carolina.

· Accredited University master’s degree in social work, counseling, or comparable human services degree.

· Clinical insurance experience preferred.

· Preference given for Evidenced based practices (TFCBT, CPP, PCIT, CPT, EMDR, etc.)

· Maintain the required level of supervision, education and training as required by State Board to maintain license.

· Computer literate with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

· Ability to write case notes for documentation and use client database as required.

· Ability to express ideas clearly, both verbally and in writing following HR policies and laws

· Possess good interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with attention to maintaining appropriate boundaries and ethics.

· Ability to think independently, work as a team, and make ethical decisions.

· Ability to listen and communicate effectively.

· Ability to problem solve utilizing critical thinking skills.

· Ability to establish rapport with staff and clients.

· Ability to stand, stoop, and sit for long periods.

· Ability to lift up to 15 pounds without assistance.

· Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license throughout employment.
