Position Summary
We are looking to fill our technician seat. As a member of our highly competitive team this seat will oversee all job site activities. Working with our PMs the Technician must have a knowledge of cabling installations procedures for both Copper and Fiber applications.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
SCOPE:
Install cable pathway systems (cable trays, cable racks, J-hooks or D-rings).
Install, terminate, and test low voltage cables & fiber optic cables.
Install, terminate, test, label, and document horizontal, backbone and other cables.
Dress and route cable into MDF, IDF, and work outlets.
Build out telecommunication and equipment rooms.
Test, troubleshoot, and document test results for cabling.
Fire-stop various types of cable penetrations.
Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
Maintain a satisfactory compliance with customer.
Prepare weekly progress reports
COMPLEXITY:
Work on matters of limited complexity. Applies the organizations policies, procedures, and practices in the normal course of work and in the analysis and resolution of issues.
Be able to complete assigned tasks on time and under budget
Be able to communicate with PMs and Customers
IMPACT:
Work directly impacts team objectives, and contributes to overall functional and organizational objectives. Will conduct work important to our customers, and internal team members.
Required Education/Experience
High School Diploma or GED
Industry Certifications (BICSI, Legrand, Hubbell, Leviton, Siemens) preferred
Required Skills
1-2 years’ work experience in Structured Cabling
Must have a valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications - (bi-lingual, preferred certifications etc.)
BICSI Training a plus
Limited Energy certificate preferred
