About the Role
Safelite is seeking an Auto Glass Technician Trainee to join their team. This role is the first step in becoming a certified auto glass technician on a nationally recognized team of expert installers.
We will train you to install and repair auto glass, recalibrate car safety systems, and provide exceptional service that leaves a lasting impression. Our goal is to empower our associates with the support they need to be efficient, solve problems, and maintain attention to detail, ultimately delivering high-quality service and bringing joy to people's lives.
This role requires working outdoors in various weather conditions, using your hands, and being adaptable to changing environments.
Training and Opportunities
We offer a 3-month paid training program where you'll learn the Safelite way through hands-on and classroom instruction, including:
- Recalibrating automotive safety systems
- Providing additional services and products
You'll also study and pass testing to become a Safelite-certified Technician, demonstrating proficiency in installations, a positive attitude, and adherence to taught techniques.
Additionally, you'll safely operate a company vehicle and utilize company-issued tools throughout the workday.
Compensation and Benefits
Competitive weekly pay starts at $21.50/hour after training and certification. Career advancement opportunities are available based on performance metrics, offering potential for higher earnings as a Senior Tech or Technician.
