Volunteer Position Description
Purpose: The position of Volunteer/ Intern serves to assist pre-release and post-release clients in securing the support they need to successfully re-enter their communities and in so doing, support Safer Foundation’s mission. Our mission is to support, through a full spectrum of services, the efforts of people with arrest and conviction records to become employed, law-abiding members of the community and as a result, reduce recidivism.
Location: Any of our Facilities located in Quad Cities area

- Mock interviewing with Clients
- Resume Writing
- Online Job Searches
- Literacy - Youth and Adults
- HSE (GED) Attainment - Youth and Adults
- Case Management
- Substance Abuse Treatment
- Mentoring
- Special projects as they become available
Length of Appointment: Open
Time Commitment: For basic volunteering, any time commitment is allowed. During regular business hours of 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Most managers will work around your schedule.
Qualifications: Basic knowledge of computer and data entry. Pleasant manner, patient, problem-solving ability and dependability.
Support: Training for this position will be provided.
Dress Code: Business Casual
