Through a full range of services, including case management, educational instruction and advocacy, we focus on preparing individuals for the world of work by helping them find and keep productive and meaningful employment.
Volunteer Position Description
Purpose: The position of Volunteer/ Intern serves as a person to help and assist, in supporting the Safer Foundation’s mission. Our mission is to support, through a full spectrum of services, the efforts of people with criminal records to become employed, law-abiding members of the community and as a result, reduce recidivism.
Location: Any of our Facilities located in Chicago
Key Responsibilities:
· Computer Assistance
· Client Services
· Mock interviewing with Clients
· Mentoring
· Helps prepare resumes on Word/ resume writing
· Other duties as assigned
Length of Appointment: Open
Time Commitment: For basic volunteering any time commitment is allowed. During regular business hours of 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Most Manager’s will work around your schedule.
Qualifications: Basic knowledge of computer and data entry. Pleasant manner, patience, problem-solving ability, and dependability.
Support: Training for this position will be provided.
Dress Code: Business Casual
