Safety Technician

Role and Responsibilities

• First Aid Treatment
• Completing Incident Reports, Incident Investigations (RCA) and Notifications
• Assist with Workers’ Compensation reporting and handling
• Weekly HSE Inspections
• Daily hazard walks
• SDS Binder
• Verification of Daily Inspections – Forklift, Scissor Lift, Etc.
• New Hire and Annual Safety Training
• Assisting with Regulatory and Customer Audits
• Monthly Safety Meetings
• Inspection of all Emergency Equipment
• Implementation of all HSE Policies and Procedures
• Ensures compliance of all HSE Policies and Procedures
• Acts as primary resource for all safety concerns/issues
• Works with all supervision to correct all safety concerns/issues
• Knowledge of OSHA Regulations
• Assists in Safety Recordkeeping requirements
• Available to be on-call when needed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Highschool Diploma required
• Previous experience in Safety preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Noise Conditions- exposed to constant or intermittent sounds at a level sufficient to cause hearing loss or fatigue

• Heat/Cold – exposure to high or low temperatures

• Injury Exposure – exposed to workplace hazards or potential injuries

• Atmospheric Exposure – exposed to dust, fumes, vapors or mists

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $24.00 per hour
