What are the responsibilities and job description for the QA & Safety Manager position at Safespill Systems LLC?
Location: 4510 Brittmoore Road, Houston TX 77041
You don’t hesitate to reject parts when necessary, but you do it with kindness, clarity, and constructive feedback, never with the condescension that can sometimes come with the territory.
You understand that great designs, processes, and products rarely start that way. They become great through small, consistent improvements, and you see every quality issue not as a setback but as an opportunity to elevate the standard.
To you, working safely is common sense. Safety isn’t just a checklist. It’s a mindset. You don’t enforce rules blindly; you take the time to assess the situation, understand the risks, and then act, just like a doctor who diagnoses before prescribing treatment.
You inherently understand the stakes: one defective part missed in QA could compromise the functionality of an entire aircraft hangar designed to house F-35 fighter jets. Aircraft that must be mission-ready at a moment’s notice. When fire protection fails, the hangar can't operate. When the hangar can't operate, the aircraft can’t receive critical maintenance.
Does this level of responsibility intimidate you but also drive you? If so, and if you carry both humility and confidence, you might be exactly who we're looking for.
Our Company…
Fire suppression systems containing firefighting foam have been widely used in military aircraft and commercial airline hangars. The foam contains PFAS chemicals (also known as "forever chemicals"), These chemicals have been linked to ovarian, thyroid, and testicular cancer, infant birth defects and many other health issues.
The solution we developed, the ILDFA, eliminates the need for firefighting foam systems and is the only effective alternative to firefighting foam. ILDFA has been selected as the preferred fire protection method by the US Navy, and many commercial clients. It is Safespill’s mission to transition the world to environmentally safe fire protection.
Our team currently has around 80 members and is growing. Our most successful team members connect to our mission, thrive in a fast-paced environment, deliver individual, high-quality results as part of a team, and want to do better every day.
