Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Swim Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a strong commitment to ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all participants. As a Swim Instructor, you will be responsible for providing high-quality swim instruction to individuals of all ages and skill levels, fostering a positive learning environment while promoting water safety.
Duties
- Conduct swim lessons for various age groups and skill levels, focusing on technique, safety, and enjoyment.
- Assess students’ abilities and tailor lessons to meet individual needs and goals.
- Ensure the safety of all participants by enforcing pool rules and regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pool area, including regular pool cleaning and maintenance tasks.
- Provide first aid assistance when necessary and ensure that CPR protocols are followed.
- Engage with guests in a friendly manner, providing excellent guest services throughout their experience.
- Collaborate with other instructors to develop lesson plans and improve instructional techniques.
- Participate in ongoing training sessions to enhance skills in swimming instruction, lifeguarding, and emergency response.
Qualifications
- Current certifications in CPR and First Aid are required; Lifeguard certification is preferred.
- Previous experience as a swim instructor or in a related role is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of swim techniques and water safety practices.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed for pool maintenance tasks.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire students.
- A friendly demeanor with a strong focus on guest services.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
