Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Swim Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a strong background in aquatic activities. As a Swim Instructor, you will be responsible for educating individuals of all ages on swimming techniques, safety practices, and water confidence. Your role will contribute to creating a positive and safe learning environment for all participants.
Duties
- Conduct swim lessons for various age groups and skill levels, ensuring each participant receives personalized attention.
- Develop lesson plans that follow the SafeSplash Curriculum and safety protocols.
- Monitor students' progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve their skills.
- Implement behavior management strategies to maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
- Ensure the safety of all participants by adhering to SafeSplash standards and emergency procedures.
- Collaborate with other instructors and staff to create a continuously improving learning environment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pool area before, during, and after lessons.
- Educate parents on the importance of swimming as a life skill and swimming year round.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in swim instruction or related fields such as childcare, sports coaching, or martial arts is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of swimming techniques and water safety practices.
- Certification in lifeguarding or first aid/CPR is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with children and adults alike.
- Ability to manage group dynamics and implement behavior management strategies effectively.
- Experience in related activities such as cheerleading, judo, basketball, or other sports coaching is a plus.
- A passion for teaching and helping others develop their swimming abilities.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 20 per week
