The SafeStreets Technology Team is searching for an experienced, enthusiastic, and innovative Software Engineer. This engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications. Daily tasks include development of APIs, CLIs, and desktop or web UIs. The role involves collaborating with other senior level members, product managers and business units within the company. The person would ideally also have the desire to enhance the team’s development/workflow processes.
Required Skills:
- 4 years software engineering experience in enterprise application development.
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
- Mastery of data types, algorithms, object oriented programming
- Web service, web app, and CLI development experience
- SQL experience and knowledge
- Critical thinking and problem solving ability
- Ability to work on multiple tasks concurrently and deliver results on aggressive timelines
- Experience in agile sprint workflows
- Excellent communication skills
Preferred
- Strong foundation in software engineering principles across various programming languages
- Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills
- Proven ability to work independently when needed while maintaining the desire to be collaborative/supportive
- Experience working with other business units of a company or not having a product/project manager.
- Examples of innovative solutions and thinking beyond conventional approaches
- Experience with maintaining robust systems
- A familiarity with the latest AI frameworks/tools and/or data science concepts is a plus
- Experience in security systems or related technology industries is valued
- Passion for continuous learning and applying new tech to real-world challenges
- Experience with CI/CD, predominately Github Workflows
- Experience with standard and custom Salesforce objects and features
- Knowledge of Salesforce Apex, Lightning Web Components, Salesforce object query language and platform integration
- Relevant Salesforce certifications
