Summary: As an Emergency Dispatch Operator at SafeTouch Security, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety of customers. This position is in a 24-hour call center environment where you will be verifying the safety of customers and dispatching law enforcement when necessary.
Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, operators may be expected to perform some, or all of the duties listed, and other duties as assigned.
- Verify, respond to, and dispatch on alarm signals
- Notify on non-emergency signals
- Answer incoming calls
- Maintain composure during all communication to help customers feel safe
- Ask customers to describe the nature of emergency calls and ask follow-up questions as needed
- Maintain proficiency in the verification and dispatching of alarms
- Enter detailed transcripts from phone or two-way voice conversations
- Transfer calls to other departments as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned by Support Members, Team Leads, or Management
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 1 year customer service or emergency dispatch experience
- Work weekends and holidays when required
- Successfully pass drug screening and background check requirements
- Critically think and problem solve in new and evolving situations
- Maintain composure in emergency and/or highly intense situations
- Technical ability to multitask and/or use multiple programs as necessary
- Demonstrate excellent listening skills
- Communicate clearly and effectively
- Pay close attention to detail
- Reliable
- Positive attitude and professional presence
- Work as a team and/or independently
- Type 30 words per minute
Job Type: Full Time, non- exempt
Schedule:
- Mid-shift: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM / 3:30 PM - 11:30 PM.
- Must be able to work weekends and some holidays but will have consecutive days off during the week.
Work Location: Onsite Headquarters in Jacksonville, FL.
