Job Summary: The Warehouse Purchasing Associate plays a critical role in ensuring that the warehouse is stocked with the necessary materials and equipment for integrated security and electrical projects. This role involves managing inventory, placing orders, coordinating deliveries, and ensuring that all supplies meet quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical components, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of security and electrical components, tools, and other related materials.
- Conduct regular stock checks to prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Update inventory records accurately and timely.
- Identify suppliers and negotiate terms for the procurement of materials. Evaluate supplier performance and recommend changes as needed.
- Prepare and place purchase orders based on project needs and inventory levels.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials to meet project schedules.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Resolve any issues related to pricing, quality, or delivery delays.
- Inspect incoming materials for quality, quantity, and compliance with purchase orders.
- Coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure proper storage and handling of materials.
- Report any discrepancies or defects to the supplier and arrange for returns or replacements.
- Work closely with operations and project managers to understand material requirements.
- Ensure that all materials are delivered to job sites on time and in good condition.
- Assist in coordinating logistics for large or special-order items.
- Maintain accurate records of all purchases, receipts, and inventory levels.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on inventory status and purchasing activities.
- Assist in budgeting and cost analysis for material procurement.
- Ensure that all materials are stored and handled following safety regulations.
- Stay informed of any changes in industry standards or regulations related to purchasing and inventory management.
- Promote and maintain a safe work environment.
- Perform additional duties as required to support business needs.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in supply chain management, procurement, or a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in purchasing, inventory management, or warehouse operations, preferably in security, electrical, construction, or a related industry.
- Understanding of electrical/electronic components and materials.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and inventory-related software.
- Safety first mindset. Knowledge of ISO 45001 preferred.
- Solid organizational and multitasking skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Work independently and as part of a team.
- Pass a drug screen and background check.
- Valid driver's license with a driving record that meets insurance requirements.
- Proof of personal vehicle insurance to include automobile liability and property damage coverage.
Physical Requirements:
- Work inside and outside.
- Remain stationary at a desk, standing, and moving from place to place for prolonged periods.
- Move equipment and materials up to 50 pounds.
- Observe details at close range.
- Handle products, take notes, operate technology, and present information.
- Read documents and presentations using electronic devices and hard copy materials while interacting with others.
- Exchange accurate information in person, over the phone, in writing, and electronically.
- Communicate clearly and articulately for presentations and interpersonal interactions so others will understand.
- Drive to work, client sites, and as business needs require.
- Navigate uneven or slippery surfaces or both.
- Safely ascend and descend stairs and ladders as needed.
- Bend, kneel, crouch, and reach for extended periods.

Work/Base Location: West Palm Beach
Core Work Hours/Availability: 7:00 am 4:00 pm
