Position Overview
We are currently seeking a Cleaning Supervisor to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a customer-focused individual to become part of a facilities management company that offers outstanding career advancement opportunities.
The Cleaning Supervisor will oversee a team of cleaning staff, ensuring that all assigned cleaning duties and tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards. Work will be carried out in alignment with the facility’s maintenance requirements and existing schedules.
Position Details
- Location: School in Manhattan
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 4:45 PM – 10:15 PM (27.5 hours per week)
- Pay Rate: $21.00 per hour
- Experience Required: Prior experience supervising a cleaning team is necessary
Key Responsibilities
As a Cleaning Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:
- Supervising all cleaning staff and monitoring their performance, ensuring adherence to cleanliness standards and proper conduct.
- Delivering a first-class cleaning service across all areas of the building.
- Reviewing and managing work schedules.
- Ordering and maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies.
- Monitoring all cleaning activities to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Ensuring that all staff comply with Health and Safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications & Requirements
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
- 2–4 years of experience in maintenance, housekeeping, or custodial services.
- Prior experience supervising a cleaning team.
- Strong knowledge of cleaning procedures, standards, and equipment.
- Experience in Health and Safety compliance.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- The ability to implement and enforce procedures effectively.
- Bilingual – MUST speak English and Spanish.
- Reliable transportation to and from client locations.
- The ability to effectively communicate with clients and fulfill their requests.
Physical requirements include: walking and standing during the entire shift (often 4-8 hours), climbing stairs, kneeling to clean floors, pushing and pulling objects, lifting and moving objects (up to 50 lbs), repetitive bending and lifting, and repetitive arm movement
