Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Orientation prep and facilitation, including travel arrangements and information coordination
- New hire background/drug screenings
- Annual drug screens for current associates
- Smartsheet updates and audits
- Order SMG PPE and orientation items through approved vendors
- Send calendar invites to hiring managers for orientation dates/times
- Follow up with Paylocity packets to ensure completion before orientation
- Field incoming communications from new hires and provide information leading up to orientation
- Onboarding checking-ins with new hires over the first 12 months
- Notary Public
- Field incoming employment verifications
- Receive training requests and coordinate approval information between managers and associates while tracking budget allowance
- Field associate inquiries and requests regarding benefits, policies, procedures, software, and other company information
- Maintain employee and benefit files
- Updating Project Detail information on the local storage drive and SMG resumes
- Continually request updated resumes from associates and update information on SMG profiles
- Process separated associate information, such as moving the resume to the appropriate storage drive, and updating Smartsheet
- Continually assist the HR Manager with administrative tasks
- Assist with company-wide training, such as Paylocity rollout
- Assisted with employee projects such as Emplify and subcommittee to improve orientation and onboarding.
- Other duties may be assigned
Requirements
- AA/AS degree or 2 years equivalent experience in the Human Resources field
- Strong analytical ability to investigate, diagnose, and resolve associate issues
- Ability to maintain the confidentiality of personnel records and discussions
- Ability to communicate effectively in person and by telephone
- Ability to work in an office setting
Physical Demands of the job may include
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Manual dexterity is needed for typing and other repetitive tasks
- Must be able to speak in an accurate and detailed manner on the phone or in person
- Remaining in a stationary position for a prolonged period; stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
