SMG seeks a Safety Advisor in Lebanon, Indiana, with experience managing people and leading projects from a program owner perspective.
Overview of Job Responsibilities:
- Present safety-related metrics and data to the executive team as needed
- Provide project safety support on behalf of the Owner and Owner representative
- Coach and influence the safe execution of procedures and work plans
- Manage teams/departments
- Provide oversight of program executions
Requirements
- 10 years of Construction experience
- A degree in safety or a related field is preferred
- Previous experience managing people and leading projects from a program owner
- Commissioning and qualifications experience
- Previous experience managing teams/departments
- Safety Program Development experience
- Demonstrated Safety Leadership
- Technical Construction understanding
Physical Demands of the job may include:
- Moving about long distances
- Ascending/Descending stairs and ladders
- Remaining in a stationary position for a prolonged period
- Working in extreme weather
- Being exposed to loud noises
- Wearing personal protective gear correctly
