The primary function of this role is to prioritize safety, client satisfaction, team collaboration, self-motivation, and adaptability in a dynamic Utility Construction environment. Key responsibilities include:
• Providing safety oversight as a contractor representative for line crews
• Implementing the Contractor Safety Management Program
• Conducting quality safety observations and documenting findings focusing on leading indicators
• Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders
• Providing safety leadership for Energy Delivery projects
• Verifying compliance with safety policies and procedures as required by law and the owner
• Ensuring clear communication of safety requirements to contractors
• Representing the utility client in meetings
• Preparing reports clearly and concisely
• Reinforcing a safety culture with field crews
A successful candidate will possess a degree in a safety-related field (preferred), at least 5 years of safety management experience in utilities/construction, OSHA 20hr ET&D certification, and proficiency in email correspondence, electronic document development, and navigating new software applications.
