Safety Management Group, a pioneer in workplace safety consulting, is seeking a skilled Construction Safety Specialist to join its team in Mt. Vernon, Indiana.
This role involves providing expert advice and guidance on construction safety matters, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and promoting a culture of safety within client organizations.
- Develop and implement comprehensive construction safety plans, aligning with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Analyze and respond to EHSS incidents, developing corrective actions and implementing controls to prevent future occurrences.
- Conduct regular safety audits, assessing client facilities and operations to identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with clients to develop and implement training programs on various safety topics, including risk management, emergency preparedness, and regulatory compliance.
Requirements:
- A degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Construction, Engineering, or a related field is highly desirable; however, candidates with significant work experience may be considered.
- A minimum of three years' experience in construction safety roles, preferably in a consulting or advisory capacity.
- Expert knowledge of regulatory requirements, including OSHA 500/501 training, industrial chemical construction, and relevant regulations.
- Proven track record of improving workplace safety outcomes through effective hazard identification, risk assessment, and mitigation strategies.
Technical Skills:
- Familiarity with construction safety software, including audit and inspection tools.
