The Construction Assistant will be responsible for supporting the CT Operations team in planning, executing, and overseeing the CT Road Division at SMC.

SCHEDULE
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work can fluctuate, work week runs Monday through Friday and hours are 40 hours per week in off-season and OT may be required during the season.
- $25-$30/hr
- Monday-Friday
- Must be able to work in the core office hours of 8:00AM – 6:00PM
- 40 hours
- Overtime after 40 hours
- Off Season (January – March ~8 hours / 40 Hours per week)
- In Season (March – December ~10 hours / 50 Hours per week)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

CT Road Division
- Assist in planning and coordinating all CT projects from inception to completion
- Build and maintain relationships with contractors
- Working closely with Project Managers to coordinate ongoing projects.
- Responsible for setting, maintaining and verifying quantities with DOT/contractors monthly
- Assist in setting up crew schedules / plans for the week/day
- Create work orders for road crews
- Perform cost analysis of orders that come into operation after each shift for PM’s
- Assist in scheduling for PM’s
- Monitor project progress and performance, identifying any issues and proposing solutions.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the project management process
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management preferred
- Excellent computer skills (Excel, Teams, Microsoft Office Suite)
- Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities within a fast-paced environment
- Self-starter/problem solver
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
