This opportunity is in the Insurance Compliance Department:
Role Description:
As a Compliance Intern, you will be fully immersed in our department and have the opportunity to make meaningful contributions to various projects throughout your summer internship. You will gain hands-on experience within the insurance industry by working closely with compliance professionals. You will directly support the Products division within our Compliance department which focuses on the development and maintenance of Safety National products, forms and endorsements, and the processing of important legals agreements between Safety National and our clients. You will get exposure to other areas within our department including state filings, systems compliance, regulatory change management and reporting.
This role is ideal for a student who is eager to understand how insurance companies develop and maintain their products while also managing complex regulatory environments. Your coursework in business, law, or a related field will be put to practical use as you gain exposure to compliance processes and how compliance supports insurance underwriting. You will be assigned a mentor and manager to support your development, but you will ultimately be responsible for your own learning and contributions.
This internship is available to candidates who can work full-time (37.5 hours per week) during summer 2025.

Qualifications:
Education:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Law, Risk Management, Insurance, or a related field with an expected graduation date no later than May of 2026.
- 60 or more credit hours complete with an expected graduation date no later than May 2026
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to conduct legal and regulatory research.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to work on-site at 1832 Schuetz Rd. Saint Louis, MO 63146
- Ability to work a full-time schedule (37.5 hours) in summer of 2025
- Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
- Prior internship or work experience in insurance, legal, or regulatory compliance.
- Ability to analyze and interpret insurance policies and regulatory guidelines.
- Familiarity with state insurance regulations and compliance requirements
- Experience with compliance management systems or legal research tools.
