About The Role
As an Operating Systems Engineer I, you will be a key member of the Infrastructure Engineering team, focused on modern endpoint management and system optimization. You will collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to enhance operational efficiency, design and implement Microsoft InTune strategies, and support identity management platforms such as Okta, Entra ID, and Active Directory. Your role will be instrumental in maintaining and improving the organization’s IT infrastructure, ensuring compliance with security best practices, and providing technical expertise to support Windows server and workstation environments. Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement modern endpoint management solutions using Microsoft InTune.
- Deploy and manage Windows operating systems (Server 2012, 2016, 2022, Windows 10 & 11).
- Develop best practices for InTune deployment, including Conditional Access, Compliance Policies, Autopilot, and Application Deployment.
- Migrate endpoint management from SCCM to Microsoft InTune.
- Support identity and access management with Okta, Entra ID, and Active Directory.
- Work with teams to ensure stable and secure server environments and compliance with patch management policies.
- Assist with software packaging, testing, and deployment for workstations.
- Provide technical escalation support and troubleshoot endpoint management issues.
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotations and perform maintenance outside standard business hours as needed.
- Maintain technical documentation for changes, configurations, and policies.
- A proactive problem solver with strong technical expertise in endpoint management.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in Information Systems or a related field.
- Two or more professional certifications within the job area.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Infrastructure area of focus (Preferably with tools such as InTune, Autopilot, and SCCM)
- Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation for device configurations.
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Active Directory, and Microsoft InTune.
- Experience in working with identity management platforms such as Okta, Entra ID and Active Directory
- Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
- Microsoft Endpoint Administrator (MD-102)
- Okta Certified Professional or Administrator
- Azure Fundamentals
- Experience with hybrid environments, including Azure and VDI
