Traveling Installer (Minneapolis, MN) Full Time/Year Round

The Opportunity

Safety Rail Company is looking for candidates interested in travel and installation of fall safety protection systems on commercial facility rooftops throughout North America. 

This is a full-time, year-round position with overtime opportunities.  

Candidates must be based in the Minneapolis, MN area.

What does the job entail?

1. Unloading pallets.
2. Unloading trucks with a forklift.
3. Working with power tools to assemble fall protection at various heights on rooftops installing rails into bases, assembling cross overs and gates and installing permanent ladders.
4.  Our installation teams travel throughout North America to client sites for installations.  SRC pays all travel related expenses. 

Are you qualified?

1. Must be willing and flexible to travel as needed by air and car 2-3 weeks each month.
2. Basic construction skills using hand tools such as drill, tape measure, band saw etc.
3. Ability to work overtime as needed
4. Conduct oneself in a professional, safe, and businesslike manner. 
5. This is a safety sensitive position: 
   • Must be able to perform work duties on high rooftops (with harnesses) and deal with cold or hot weather depending on the season.
   • Must be able to lift heavy objects (100 lbs.) and other physical demands as required.
   • Successful completion of pre-employment background check, full panel drug screening, physical and work simulation. 
   • This position is subject to ongoing non-DOT Drug and Alcohol policy during employment.
   • Must be able to bend, stoop, sit, walk, twist, stand, and climb a ladder.
   • Stringent adherence to SRC, customer policies and safety requirements on each installation.
   • Being able to adapt and overcome various situations while safely following OSHA policies
   • Complete the necessary training requirements provided by SRC (OSHA 10, Leading-Edge, Forklift, etc.)

1. The ability to use mobile devices for time keeping, daily reports, job reports, safety assessments, etc.

4. Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
