What are the responsibilities and job description for the SAFE-CAMPUS SECURITY-24-25-02 position at Safety & Security?
Assist administration at the school site in providing a safe and secure environment for students, staff and patrons.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid New Mexico driver's license.
- No felony convictions
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and relate positively with people.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Follows local, state and federal law and adheres to Public Education Department and Local School Board Policy.
- Patrols schools grounds and assists the administration in the enforcement of school rules and regulations.
- Monitors the flow of incoming traffic and insures that a safe and orderly traffic flow is maintained.
- Monitors the arrival of persons on campus and directs visitors to the office.
- Maintains security in staff and student parking areas.
- Investigates under the auspices of the school administration any violation of school rules including use or possession of controlled substances.
- Assists in monitoring the school site for safety concerns (i.e. faulty stairwells, blocked entrances, unsafe areas, etc.)
- Patrols the school grounds to prevent vandalism and responds to emergency situations as needed.
- Works with school staff to maintain order at school activities such as assemblies, athletic events, etc.
- Performs other such related tasks required by the supervisor in memo of note.
