SAFE-CAMPUS SECURITY-24-25-02

Assist administration at the school site in providing a safe and secure environment for students, staff and patrons.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. Valid New Mexico driver's license.
3. No felony convictions
4. Demonstrated ability to communicate and relate positively with people.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Follows local, state and federal law and adheres to Public Education Department and Local School Board Policy.
2. Patrols schools grounds and assists the administration in the enforcement of school rules and regulations.
3. Monitors the flow of incoming traffic and insures that a safe and orderly traffic flow is maintained.
4. Monitors the arrival of persons on campus and directs visitors to the office.
5. Maintains security in staff and student parking areas.
6. Investigates under the auspices of the school administration any violation of school rules including use or possession of controlled substances.
7. Assists in monitoring the school site for safety concerns (i.e. faulty stairwells, blocked entrances, unsafe areas, etc.)
8. Patrols the school grounds to prevent vandalism and responds to emergency situations as needed.
9. Works with school staff to maintain order at school activities such as assemblies, athletic events, etc.
10. Performs other such related tasks required by the supervisor in memo of note.
