What are the responsibilities and job description for the Test Lab Tech position at Safety Test & Equipment Company?
The Test Laboratory Technician will follow the required guidelines to perform Protective Equipment Testing (PET) on rubber products. All protective equipment is tested in accordance with the standards set forth within the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM). The Safety Test Laboratory is accredited by the North American Independent Laboratories for Protective Equipment Testing.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Testing rubber products which includes washing, drying, electrical, and visual tests
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of test laboratory
EDUCATION
- High School Diploma or equivalency
PYHSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Capable of lifting and moving up to 50 Pounds
- Stand for long periods of time
- Bend, walk, sit and twist
- Climb a ladder
SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Ability to fully understand and follow oral and written instructions
- Communicates effectively
- Ability to operate basic office equipment (printer, computer, copy machine, telephone system)
- Capable of maintaining a high attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Capable of working in a team-oriented environment and possesses a team-oriented mentality
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Indoors in temperature-controlled environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $22.00 per hour
