Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Information Technology Administrator at Safety Vision in Houston, TX. The role involves tasks such as providing technical support, network administration, system administration, troubleshooting, and managing information technology systems.
System and Network Administration
- Oversee the maintenance, installation, patching, upgrading, and troubleshooting of systems, including workstations, servers including VM, switches, firewalls, SD-WANs, VOIP telecommunications, and other critical hardware.
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows Server roles such as Active Directory, DFS, DHCP, DNS, RDS, NPS, and Sophos to support business operations.
- Create, implement, manage and test disaster recovery plans
Infrastructure Management
- Ensure the integrity, availability, and performance of IT infrastructure, including physical and virtual servers, applications, networking, and telecommunications systems, through proactive monitoring and maintenance.
- Server management, security solutions, and network hardware upgrades.
Compliance and Security
- Ensure adherence to industry regulatory standards and IT security best practices through regular assessments, updates, and documentation.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with IT security standards by implementing policies, procedures, and controls.
Operational Technology (OT) Support
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and manage operational systems and critical infrastructure to ensure their reliable operation. Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to maintain system cybersecurity, ensure compliance, and support the integration of both IT and OT environments.
Vendor and Hardware Management
- Work with hardware and software vendors, including HP, Dell, Lenovo, Cisco, Aruba, Barracuda, and others, to ensure effective system operations and upgrades.
- Leverage tools such as VMware, Hyper-V, Datto backup, Veeam backup, antivirus solutions, and VPN technologies for infrastructure management.
Documentation and Policy Management
- Develop, update, and maintain IT policies, procedures, and documentation
- Retire outdated documentation to ensure compliance with industry standards and internal requirements.
Client Collaboration and Continuous Improvement
- Work directly with all stakeholders to understand IT requirements and deliver tailored solutions that meet business needs.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend and implement improvements.
Qualifications
- Technical Support, Troubleshooting, and Information Technology skills
