Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Plans sequence of testing and certification procedures for instruments (crash test dummies) and equipment.
Sets up standard and special purpose laboratory equipment to test, evaluate, and certify other instruments and test equipment.
Input data information and utilize data acquisition systems to perform system checks and data collection for ATDs.
Disassembles instruments and equipment and inspects components for defects.
Measures parts for conformity with specifications.
Aligns, repairs, replaces, and balances component parts.
Reassembles and certifies instruments and equipment.
Assists engineers in formulating test, calibration, repair, and evaluation plans and procedures to maintain precision accuracy of measuring, recording, and indicating instruments and equipment.
May be required to participate in a Company’s internal audit system as an internal auditor.

Language Ability:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Education and/or Experience: H.s Diploma/GED: One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
