What are the responsibilities and job description for the Deli Clerk position at Safeway/Albertsons?
We are searching for an individual who is capable of working at a fast-paced and active work environment. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work well in a team setting, and will love helping our customers find the right products for their needs. In addition to taking orders, the Deli Associate must enjoy cleaning work spaces and preparing food items on a daily basis.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and remove expired items from the stockroom and prepare them for donation.
- Clean and prepare food according to health department regulations and company standards.
- Keep the deli fully stocked with all types of meats, cheeses, breads, and condiments.
- Operate the deli slicer, meat slicer, bread slicer, and other machines needed to prepare deli food.
- Stock the cold dessert refrigerator, soda refrigerator, and other refrigerators in the store.
- Communicate with employees about new products or product changes in the store.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour
