SAFEWAZE – CUSTODIAN

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Custodian to maintain cleanliness and organization in our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring a safe and sanitary work environment by performing routine cleaning, maintenance, and minor repairs. This position requires a proactive individual who takes pride in their work and understands the importance of cleanliness in a production setting.

• Full time, first shift work. Monday- Friday 6am-2:30pm

WHAT THE ROLE DOES: 

• Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing work areas.
• Empty and dispose of trash, recycling, and industrial waste in compliance with facility guidelines.
• Clean and maintain restrooms, break rooms, and common areas to ensure hygiene standards are met.
• Maintain and replenish cleaning supplies and request restocking as needed.
• Assist with minor facility maintenance, such as changing light bulbs and repairing minor leaks.
• Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations by keeping walkways, emergency exits, and work areas clear.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, including industrial sweepers and pressure washers.
• Respond promptly to cleaning and maintenance requests from staff and management.
• Monitor and report any facility damage, safety hazards, or necessary repairs.
• Follow all company policies and procedures regarding cleanliness, safety, and sanitation.

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Previous experience in custodial, janitorial, or maintenance work, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, safety practices, and equipment operation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, standing, and climbing ladders.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
