JOB TITLE : ECE Support Staff
REPORTS TO : Principal / Assigned Teacher
JOB DESCRIPTION :
Works in classroom with students under direct supervision of teacher.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Assists in tutoring small groups of students under the direction of the teacher.
- Provides positive reinforcement for students.
- Assists the teacher in maintaining proper classroom control.
- Escorts students to the office upon request.
- Supervises students during lunch and recesses.
- Remains punctual and works assigned schedule.
- Assists in special class presentations, field trips, and activities as requested.
- Demonstrates confidential, professional, and personable demeanor.
- Handles routine clerical work as assigned.
- Prepares instructional materials as requested by the teacher.
- Follows and enforces school and District regulations and policies.
- Performs other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

In addition to the job requirements listed above, all ECE Support Staff must also have a CDA credential or state awarded certificate in the area of Early Childhood Education, must be CPR / First Aid Certified, have a high school diploma, AND have a minimum of six (6) months experience in a preschool classroom setting.
