Position Overview
The Junior Financial Analyst will work closely with the Senior Finance Manager and support providing support our finance team in managing financial processes, reporting, and analysis for different areas of North America Business units. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in accounting and finance who is looking to grow in financial controlling and strategic planning. Responsibilities will include royalties calculation, pricing calculation support, marketing spending reporting, OH and Capex spending review and additional reports preparation. This role will allow the candidate to improve analytical skill while supporting the business reporting needs.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Royalties calculation:
- Calculation of Monthly Royalties report for all the Brands based on Monthly Sales reports
- Calculation and Payments of US brand Licenses based on contractual obligations
- Support Brand Manager preparing specific Royalties report based on brands contractual obligation
- Support Brand Manager in case of Brand Audit.
- Pricing:
- Manage and update the pricing database for Safilo North America market with input from global and local brand teams
- Enable New release pricing process to guarantee accuracy, compliance with the price structure and timing.
- Run marginality analysis for new collections prices
- Marketing spending:
- Analyze Actual vs Budget/Forecast to ensure accuracy and support Accounting in Monthly closing accruals calculation.
- Work with Brand manager and Trade marketing manager to prepare Budget/Forecast based on brand contractual spending and company strategies.
- Overhead and Capex:
- Analyze Actual by GL account and cost center vs Budget/Forecast to ensure accuracy and support Accounting in Monthly closing reviewing the open shopping cart.
- Report the OH monthly spending to each cost center leader to allow them to know their actual spending and YTG vs Budget
- Additional reports:
- Calculation of stock reserve based on company rules
- Updating of Brand Monthly Dashboard
Experience, Skills & Knowledge
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and/or Accounting, MBA a plus
- Minimum 2-3 years of Finance / Accounting experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Good analytical and communication skills.
- Experience with SAP and Oracle BI a plus
