What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lay Up Uni-Tape Frames 1st Shift position at Safran Cabin?
Job Summary:
Constructs aircraft uni-tape frames by performing hand lay up of resin infused carbon fiber in a sequence and process in an autoclave as described on engineering drawings and company specifications.
Activity includes: preparation of temporary bagging, and final bagging process. Final bagging process requires hand sweeping using approved T sweep tool to remove air bubbles from the material.
Summary of Duties:
Adheres to company specifications, work instructions, engineering prints and work orders
Documents the materials used in the process to maintain traceability including out times of cold stored materials.
Builds structural components via vacuum bagging using resin systems with carbon fiber reinforcements,
Properly identifies and communicate defects in tooling.
Meet takt times while maintaining specified level of quality
Safely handles various regulated materials used in the process.
General Notes:
Must carefully handle raw material and manufactured parts to ensure the integrity and quality is not compromised by handling.

Qualifications:
Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Experience: Minimum 1 year stable employment history preferred. Previous manufacturing experience preferred. Aerospace experience preferred. Computer Skills: Ability to operate and comprehend data using Windows Operating System®, and MRP R5 and SmarTeam systems. Other Skills: Ability to read and follow engineering blue prints.
