In the role of Tooling & Testing Manager, you'll play a pivotal part on our Industrialization Department team.
This position contributes to our vision by:
•Leadership of the specification, design, manufacture and maintenance of tools and testing equipment to meet production and program objectives of safety, quality delivery, and cost at Safran WWS.
•Develop, implement, and maintain Tooling and Testing business procedures at Safran WWS.
•Overall management of the tooling and testing equipment on the production lines and ensure their continued operation to verify products in a timely manner to meet delivery schedules.
•Develop and manage maintenance and repair procedures and verify schedules on all tools and equipment on the asset list to ensure calibration, longevity, and uninterrupted use.
•Develop and manage spare parts inventory protocols to elevate and maintain high levels of OEE for all tooling and testing equipment.
•Support deliverables in new product development and Transfer of Work projects, working cross-functionally for tooling and testing needs, including space and environmental requirements.
•Develop and maintain drawings and 3D models, its configuration management, and ensure designs are safe and efficient to use.
•Overall management of in-house fabrication and/or preferred suppliers for procurement and services of our complex and high-value designed tooling and testing equipment.
•Development and management of fixture and test equipment operating instructions, communication and training to the Operations technicians.
•Supports continuous improvement efforts on safe and efficient use-of-operation, and error-proofing of our tooling and testing equipment.

Across all team members, we are looking for the following attributes: •Team oriented •Process focused •Open & honest communication •Quality minded •Ability to persevere and honor commitments •Recognizes success •Executes with urgency •Creates solutions •Customer focused in everything we do Job Requirements: Education: Bachelor's degree in an engineering field (Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering) Experience: Minimum 8 years of related experience in aerospace, mechanical, electrical, or manufacturing engineering Computer Skills: •Working knowledge of CAD modeling applications such as SolidWorks, Catia, AutoCAD •Proficient experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project) •Knowledge of ERP systems software Other Skills: •Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma •Broad knowledge of manufacturing constraints and a strong understanding of phase-gated processes. •Analytical skills and proficient with databases. •Effective oral and written communications skills •Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and assignments with attention to detail •Problem solving, well organized, detailed oriented and accurate. Preferred Skills and Experience: Knowledge of mechanical and electrical tooling and testing equipment design Knowledge of electro-mechanical assembly work Knowledge of computer applications such as Power BI, MES, LabView.
