In the role of Manufacturing and Engineering Application IT Specialist you'll play a pivotal part in implementing and maintaining applicative components and middleware for business applications, primarily focusing on Manufacturing and Engineering software. You'll have the opportunity to work with software products from vendors like Microsoft, PTC, Dassault, IBM and IGE XAO, as well as internally developed solutions. This position contributes to our vision by :

Application Implementation :

oInstalls and configures software components for Business applications relying on databases and other technical middleware, and client-side counterpart. Handles multiple (non-production and production) application environments.

oHelp in specifying and defining the proper infrastructure requirements for server-based applications in new implementations.

Technical Support :

oProvide technical support and troubleshoot issues related to installation / operation and offer timely solutions to ensure the optimal performance.

oManages changes and upgrades (major / minor) on the environments based on requirements and updates documentation and repositories, accordingly, following change management procedures.

Job Requirements

At Safran Electrical & Power, we seek service-oriented team players with strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude, adaptable to our innovative and evolving environment.

Education and / or Experience

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, industrial automation or related field – preferred

Requires 3-5 years of related experience in business-critical application installation / configuration and support in Windows systems or Linux environments.

Knowledge / Skills

Knowledge of manufacturing and / or engineering software suite setup (at least one vendor) - Expert

Knowledge and field experience with Windows Servers administration - Advanced

Knowledge of IIS, Application servers and Web server's configuration and management - Advanced

Knowledge of infrastructure services (AD, DNS, DHCP, NTP, LDAP, Digital certificates…) – Basic

Knowledge and experience with Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) and National Institute for Standards and Technology (NIST) 800-171 - Basic

Knowledge and field experience with MS SQL (2012 to 2022) – Basic

Knowledge of virtualization environments (vmware) – Basic
