Job Summary
The Sr. Manager, Quality Systems is a member of the Leadership Team with primary responsibility for providing leadership, planning and coordination of activities of the Supplier Quality Organization in support of Safran Electronics & Defense, Avionics USA's, Division business objectives. The Sr. Manager, Quality Systems is responsible for managing processes related to the selection, management and performance of suppliers.
Essential Job Functions
- Own the development, implementation, and oversight of an effective Quality Management System program that operates in compliance with corporate quality policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Administer enhancements, development and improvement of QMS documentation and methods.
- Administer and maintains the SEDA Division's QMS Documentation.
- Facilitate and lead the use of lean / six sigma (advanced quality) tools to evaluate Safran or supplier products and processes.
- Analyze root causes of deficiencies and ensures proper corrective actions are implemented in a timely manner as related to Quality management System findings and observations.
- Lead and participate in cross-functional team efforts to improve Safran business processes.
- Develop and lead cost effective strategies across SEDA Divisional sites that results in an ongoing significant improvement to Safran products and processes.
- Identify need for and delivers training materials to Safran employee related to the Quality Management System.
- Mentor Quality Systems Team on the Safran Quality Management System.
- Assume supervisory and / or lead responsibility for quality systems personnel in multiple locations as directed by leadership.
- Assume leadership delegated responsibility when directed by leadership.
- Analyze customer, industry, and / or regulatory specifications and ensure compliance of Safran products and processes. Lead initiatives to attain / maintain applicable global regulatory and quality standards certifications.
- Develop and maintain a working relationship with key customer procurement organizations to the benefit of the customer and Safran.
- Ensure Safran products shipped to customers meet applicable business unit, contractual, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage activities all QMS audit activities including, but not limited to internal, customer and regulatory audits.
- Other duties as required.
