Job Description

As an operational excellence (OpEx) engineering intern, you will support the processes required to ensure safe, quality, and cost-effective aerospace maintenance activities. You will have the opportunity to interface with repair and methods engineering, manufacturing leadership, and support teams to meet our business unit goals. Roles and Responsibilities :

Support site efforts for implementing and sustaining operational excellence initiatives including :

oProductivity, Overall Labor Effectiveness (OLE)

oElectronic Performance Dashboards

oQRQC

oHoshin Kanri and One Safran projects support

oValue Stream Maps

oVisual shop management

Contribute to the company goals of safety improvement, process flow improvements, floor space optimization, lead-time reduction, elimination of non-conformities, and on-time delivery by leveraging Lean Six Sigma methodologies including 5S

Support implementation of visual cues and communication tools in both the shop and office environment to provide “status at a glance” and allow quick and simple detection of abnormal operating conditions.

Optimize workflow capacity and budget models to support key business unit decisions

Perform other related duties as required by the operations manager to support production

Job Requirements

Candidate skills and requirements :

Safran Nacelles Services Americas is looking for service-oriented team players with strong interpersonal skills, the right attitude, and adaptability to an innovative and evolving environment.

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Industrial / Manufacturing / Mechanical / Aerospace Engineering or another related engineering field

Proficient in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including being able to manage large amounts of data and tasks

Problem solving, root cause analysis and corrective actions

Ability to communicate, verbally and written, to internal customers

Ability to build strategic working relationships at all levels of the organization

Possess a can-do attitude and sense of urgency when completing projects and tasks

Specificity of the job
