Core Responsibilities
- Strategically design, develop, and execute advanced test cases and procedures to validate intricate and critical product features and functionality
- Expertly identify, document, and communicate bugs or defects with meticulous attention to detail and reproducibility
- Lead cross-functional teams in defining and achieving comprehensive test coverage aligned with strategic product goals
- Drive validation of new and complex product features, ensuring alignment with design specifications and user expectations
- Conduct extensive functional, regression, and exploratory testing, leveraging automation and innovative techniques
- Lead triaging and in-depth root cause analysis of critical issues, driving prioritization and resolution strategies
- Pioneer improvements to testing methodologies, tools, and workflows, setting benchmarks for quality excellence
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of test plans, results, and known issues, facilitating transparency and collaboration
- Champion the use of cutting-edge testing tools and software, optimizing team efficiency and adapting to evolving frameworks
Requirements
Experience-Based Qualifications
- 10 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance, with a proven track record of leading large-scale testing initiatives
- Expertise in designing and architecting comprehensive testing strategies, including functional, regression, performance, and security testing
- Extensive experience in developing and scaling automated testing frameworks and integrating them into CI/CD pipelines for enterprise-level systems
- Advanced API testing and automation capabilities using tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or REST-assured, with a focus on scalability and reliability
- Proven ability to drive testing best practices and methodologies across multiple teams or projects, influencing organizational quality standards
- Strong leadership experience, mentoring senior-level engineers and fostering cross-functional collaboration across engineering, product, and QA teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of security testing principles, tools (e.g., OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite), and methodologies
- Experience leading testing efforts for cloud-based or distributed systems, ensuring high availability and fault tolerance
- Familiarity with monitoring tools like Splunk or Grafana to support infrastructure testing
Benefits
The starting pay range for this position is $127,000 - 134,500 per year however, base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location.
