Objective :

Dynamic FEA Engineers will be responsible for performing advanced Finite Element Analysis (FEA) simulations and analyses to evaluate the dynamic behavior and performance of mechanical systems. This position will work closely with our engineering team to ensure the structural integrity, reliability, and performance optimization of our products and will work under close supervision of Lead FEA Engineers.

Duties and Responsibilities

Main Function Responsibilities

List the current duties and responsibilities each which account for more than 5-10% of the incumbent's time or are critical to the successful performance of the job

A)Responsible for inspecting the CAD data received from designers prior to the inception of meshing.

B)Responsible for doing all the mesh quality checks defined per the internal design validation guidelines for meshing by Safran Seats USA.

C)Set up the model for static and quasi static analysis using Altair tools or LS-pre-post.

G)Perform all the necessary linear / non-linear static analysis.

H)Ensure that FEA models and simulations comply with industry standards, best practices, and customer requirements.

I)Analyze and interpret FEA results to identify potential design flaws, weaknesses, and areas for improvement. Validate model with test and establish correlation

J)Work with lead engineers to Develop and implement appropriate modeling techniques, boundary conditions, and material properties to accurately simulate real-world dynamic scenarios.

K)Optimize design based on analysis and test results.

L)Prepare technical presentations for product engineering under the supervision of design validation engineer IV or lead

Complementary Description

M)Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the development of design guidelines, testing protocols, and validation procedures.

N)Comply with Safran Seats USA procedures (QAP) and certification internal procedures.

O)Stay updated on the latest advancements in dynamic FEA methodologies, tools, and techniques, and apply them to enhance analysis capabilities and efficiency.

P)Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Education : Must have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Aeronautical Engineering or related.

Work Experience / Technical knowledge :

• Prefer 1 year of finite element analysis experience using LS-Dyna or Radioss, Altair HyperWorks suite, ANSYS or equivalent software package.
• Prefer knowledge of NASTRAN.

Physical Demands : This position requires extended periods of sitting while working with computers and viewing computer monitors and other office equipment. Finger dexterity needed in using misc. office equipment such as telephone, computer and copy machine, etc. Bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting up to approximately twenty pounds are required during tasks related to the job

Work environment : The work environment includes office setting with moderate office noise
