Safran Aerospace Composites in Rochester, NH is dedicated to the production of 3D woven composite parts, made using the RTM (resin transfer molding) process. The first application of this technology is the production of blades and fan cases for the LEAP (registered trademark) engine, developed by CFM International, designed to power the next generation of single-aisle aircraft. Position responsible to successfully operate all equipment within the bonding process, either in small parts or large parts. Standard work methods and safe work habits must be followed to ensure conformance to customer requirements.
Complementary Description
Job Requirements
1.High school diploma or high school equivalency required.
2.Prior experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
3.Successful completion of relevant coursework in an accredited advanced manufacturing program may be substituted for experience in a manufacturing setting.
4.Basic mechanical aptitude; familiarity with metric system a plus.
5.Requires good organization skills and attention to detail.
6.Capable of working with epoxy and adhesive materials.
7.Capable of producing fine finish work and assembling components accurately.
8.Experience with composite materials preferred.
9.Ability to participate effectively in a team environment.
10.Good written and verbal communication skills.
11.Basic computer skills including software data entry and keyboarding.
12.Knowledge of and compliance with AS9100C or ISO9001 standards preferred.
13.Excellent hand eye coordination including the ability to manipulate small items with speed and accuracy.
14.The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms.
15.The employee is regularly required to stand and walk.
16.The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 35 pounds.
17.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
18.Physically capable of working while wearing a respirator.
