Job description
As part of the LEAP-1C CFM Contracts team, reporting to the CFM COMAC Contracts Manager, you will support the management of the contract with the aircraft manufacturer and airline customers for the supply of the LEAP 1C integrated propulsion systems (IPS) and associated business processes, including:
Manage contracts with aircraft manufacturer (COMAC) and related CFM supplier, for the supply of LEAP 1C IPS. In coordination with team focals:
o Review contract language, both in form and substance, for administration, interpretation and tracking, as well as implementation of financial transactions.
o Manage ongoing contractual topics and drive closure.
o Manage, track and implement purchase orders, and related processes.
o Participate in the development of administrative processes with aircraft manufacturer.
Act as owner of administrative processes for the team
o Develop, define, and perform the administrative processes related to contact management for the team, including for the financial transactions.
o Ensure all administrative processes are streamlined and efficient.
Reporting:
o Establish and maintain information for management reports.
o Generate regular reports on financial transactions, product delivery and other performance metrics
o Provide insight and recommendations based on data analysis to improve contract management processes.
Maintain databases and information systems
o Maintain and update databases to ensure all information is current and easily accessible.
o Implement and maintain an efficient contract archiving system, related documents and financial transactions.
o Regularly update and audit contract databases to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
Implement the airline customer contracts and act as the contracts focal point for sales / finance departments:
o Manage and administer the terms and conditions of the airline customer contract
o Support sales and legal teams as required during proposal and contract negotiations with airline customers, as needed.
o Review contract language, both in form and substance, and provide interpretation.
o Develop internal positions in response to airlines requests.
Support company business initiatives:
o Serve as Contracts focal point for company-wide programs, and participate in cross functional teams
o Support development of operating practices for company-wide distribution
o Support improvement projects and participate in development training.
Act as a liaison with Safran organization in France, and GE organization in the US.
Job requirements
- Bachelor degree in business related field, MBA a plus
- 5-10 years relevant work experience, preferably in an aerospace-related field
- Strong organizational skills and project management skills
- Experience with management of commercial contracts
- Green Belt / Six Sigma certification is a plus
- Proficiency in database management
- Experience in customer relationship management
- Must be a team player, and able to work in close coordination with other team members.
- Must have strong analytical skills, ability to work in an international and global environment, and possess excellent customer interaction skills
- Must be proactive and able to work under deadlines and to multi-task to complete all transactional items in line with expectations.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of management
- Must be able to work in office environment 100% first six months, 80% thereafter.
- Must be able to travel domestically/internationally on occasion (maintain valid passport)
- French or Chinese language skills a plus
- Salesforce experience a plus
