Engineering Product Line Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Product Line Manager to take on a leadership role within our Engineering department. The successful candidate will be responsible for the technical integrity of our product line portfolio, direct supervision of product line Engineers and Designers, and ensuring the robustness of new product development. This role also involves developing and maintaining product strategies, facilitating concurrent engineering, and technically master the full diversity of the product line. Additionally, the candidate will manage staffing requirements for effective product development and support, and implement the skills strategy in accordance with product line needs.

• Responsible for the technical integrity of products line portfolio and direct supervision of product line Engineers and Designers.
• Ensure new product development robustness.
• Develop and maintain product strategies.
• Responsible for the authoring of technical proposals.
• Facilitate concurrent engineering and Provide interdepartmental Engineering support.
• Management staffing requirements for effective product development and support.
• Implement the skills strategy in accordance with product line needs

Job Requirements

Qualifications : Education -

Required – BS Mechanical, Electrical or Aerospace Engineering; MS in Engineering preferred

Preferred – MBA optional

Experience –

Required – 10 yrs minimum engineering experience in an aerospace environment

Special Knowledge / Skills –

Requested technical skills : general mechanics, fluid mechanics

Knowledge of : Control engineering, chemistry, electronics, plastics engineering, Functional analysis / Design to cost, Reliability Engineering (DFMEA, Fault Tree Analysis...), Airworthiness and aviation regulations

Leadership and project Management skills, training and experience

Working knowledge of manufacturing MRP systems

Literacy on Microsoft suite of office software
