The Supplier Quality Supervisor will provide overall supervision and daily direction to the NJ receiving inspection department (including the 8130-3 shipping line) to ensure operational demands and company expectations are achieved.In addition, the Supplier Quality Supervisor will support, assess, monitor and lead suppliers to achieve the required level of operational excellence to achieve Safran goals.

- Supervise the performance of the Receiving Laboratory, including the 8130-3 shipping line personnel, implementing all personnel policies.
- Review and update documentation as required to maintain compliance with respective quality system procedures.
- Ensure Calibration procedures are in place and followed
- Ensure incoming inspection processes and records are accurate and readily available for traceability (including concessions, FAI, non-conformances, supplier approvals, goods received method/inspection methods, SCARs, ETQ, etc)
- Act as a Quality Representative on the Material Review Board.
- Perform supplier assessments/audits, including the handling of tier two suppliers, based upon established yearly audit/visit plan,
- Prepare and distribute Audit/Assessment Report following internal processes within the established timeline.
- Ensure supplier corrective actions resulting for audits or product non-conformances, or external customer claims are addressed immediately using the 8D problem solving methodology.
- Support and promote excellence among all suppliers by coaching and implementing the methods and tools recommend by Safran.
- Interface with other departments and facilities such that improvements in the quality of our product and processes are achieved.
- Prepare the Quality Barometer, Supplier trends, and KPIs for purchased products and presentation for management review as requested. Ensure collaboration with suppler is performed for product non conformances detected internal or externally
- Adheres to safe work practices and contributes to the evolution of the health, safety, and environmental program and culture,
- Regular, predictable attendance is required;
- Other duties may be assigned.

Education and/or Experience
- Requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering
- Three to six years related experience
Knowledge/Skills
- Language skills - Fluent in English - Basic

- Ability to review all supplier documentation for completeness and conformance to applicable specification. – Advanced
- Presents the ability to document quality procedures which comply to industry regulations. - Basic
- Show a proficiency with computers, their operating systems and programs for spreadsheet analysis and reporting of data. - Basic
- Working knowledge of the following: ISO 9000, AS9100, AS9102, MIL-Q-9858, MIL-STD-1520 - Basic
- Working knowledge of the following: Statistical Process Control (SPC), AS9145 Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Lean-Sigma, Strategic Planning and Cost of Quality, Product and Process Risk Analysis (DFMEA/PFMEA), Measurement System Analysis (MSA) and Special Processes. – Advanced
- Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, musical notes, etc.) in its most difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables. - Basic
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) - Preferred
- Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) - Preferred
- Lead Assessor Certification- Preferred
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Responsible for supervision of the members of the Receiving Inspection including the 8130-3 shipping line inspectors and personnel policies.
