Job Description
1.0Summary of Job Purpose :
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Technician to join our quality assurance team. This role is pivotal in maintaining and enhancing the quality standards of our small gas turbine engines used in commercial and business jet applications. The Quality Technician will liaise with external and internal personnel to address non-conformances and develop quality improvement plans to ensure customer satisfaction and regulatory compliance.
2.0Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Non-Conformance Management :
oInvestigate and treat non-conformances detected by the aircraft manufacturer or their customers.
oDocument non-conformities, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
oDevelop and execute quality improvement plans based on data analysis and feedback from customers under the supervision of the Quality Manager.
oMonitor the effectiveness of quality improvement initiatives and adjust strategies as needed.
oConduct root cause and corrective action investigation using the 8D methodology.
oCoordinate cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive and effective corrective actions are implemented.
oTrack and document all 8D reports and follow up on actions to ensure timely closure.
oHave familiarity with inspection requirements and processes to ensure the quality of products.
oWork closely with the inspection team to understand inspection findings and integrate them into quality improvement activities.
oIdentify opportunities for continuous improvement in processes, products, and services.
oParticipate in quality audits, both internal and external, to ensure compliance and identify areas of improvement.
