Within Safran Electronics & Defense, our Timing & Synchronization division is the leader in R-PNT (Resilient Positioning, Navigation & Timing) solutions. We supply military and commercial industries worldwide with accurate timing technologies and equipment (Time Servers, Inertial Navigation System), as well as ultra-precise timing and frequency distribution for applications requiring a high degree of reliability and accuracy across IP time distribution standards.

The Position:

The role involves hands-on Salesforce development, focusing on delivering functional solutions using the Salesforce platform. It includes collaborating with senior team members to analyze business requirements and translating them into custom Salesforce solutions.

The Day to Day:

• Design and develop customer applications on the Salesforce platform using Apex (salesforce's proprietary programming language) and Visualforce (for UI)
• Create Lightning Web Components (LWC) or Aura components for modern, responsive user interfaces
• Integrate Salesforce with external systems using APIs, middleware, or tools like MuleSoft
• Work with REST/SOAP APIs, Salesforce Connect, and third-party integrations
• Customize Salesforce using declarative tools like Process Builder, Flow, and Workflow Rules
• Configure objects, fields, page layouts, and record types
• Manage data migration, data cleaning, and data integration using tools like Data Loader or Salesforce DX
• Implement data security and sharing rules
• Automate business processes using Apex triggers, scheduled jobs, and Salesforce Flow
• Optimize workflows to improve efficiency
• Write unit tests and perform debugging to ensure code quality and functionality
• Use Salesforce's testing framework to meet deployment requirements (75% test coverage)
• Deploy applications using change sets, Salesforce DX, or CI/CD tools
• Provide ongoing maintenance and support for Salesforce applications

What you Bring to Safran:

• Bachelor's Degree in IT or other related field with 3 years of related experience
• Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
• Certification Preferences: Salesforce Certified Administrator, Salesforce Platform Developer I, Salesforce Certified App Builder
• Experience with Salesforce platform programming languages - Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Component framework
• Web application development including JavaScript, CSS, and HTML5
• Salesforce Object Query Language
• Lightning Component development experience
• Lightning Design System framework
• Declarative Force.com development tools such as Process Builder, Visual Workflow, Lightning App Builder, etc.
• Be comfortable communicating with technical and non-technical audiences
