In this role, you'll play a pivotal part in serving as assistant to the assigned Transportation Manager and performing support duties required for the efficient management of logistics transactions. Job Requirements
Main Function Responsibilities
A) Plan, book, and track shipments between Safran Seats facilities, vendors, and customers.
B) Create and maintain shipping documentation including but not limited to waybills, pick tickets, commercial invoices, SLIs.
C) Manage freight billing and auditing to ensure accuracy; dispute invoices and resolve discrepancies.
D) Create and maintain departmental reports.
E) Provide shipping data as required to internal and external stakeholders.
F) Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualification Requirements
A. Education & Qualification
• High School Diploma is required.
• Associate's Degree or higher in Business or in a related area is preferred.
B. Work Experience - Technical knowledge Minimum of 1 year of experience in one or more of the following areas:
• Shipping, logistics, supply chain or related field
• Administrative Support
• Customer Support
C. Professional Skills:
• Experience in a customer related area or proven ability to work well with outside customers is required
• Must be proficient in job-related computer activities.
• Must have proven communication skills.
• Must have the ability to generate written communication and to operate required office equipment.
• Ability to read and review written communication.
• Speech and hearing abilities that allow individual to communicate clearly and distinctly in English.
D. Behavioral Skills:
• Must have ability to maintain multiple tasks simultaneously, including the ability to manage assignments from more than customer during any given day.
• Must have the ability to think strategically and solve problems independently.
• Must be proficient in job-related computer activities.
• Must have a keen sense of priority and the ability to assess priorities as they apply to each program.
E. Desirable Aspects: Experience in an international freight and parcel shipping environment; familiarity with customs procedures; experience working in TMS
3. General Work Conditions
Physical Demands: This position requires extended periods of sitting while working with computers and viewing computer monitors and other office equipment. Finger dexterity needed in using misc. office equipment such as telephone, computer and copy machine, etc. Bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting up to approximately twenty pounds are required during tasks related to the job
Work environment: The work environment includes office setting with moderate office noise.
