Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Behavior Specialist (LBS) to join our team on a contract basis. The LBS will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing behavior management programs for individuals with autism or other behavioral disorders. This position involves conducting comprehensive assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and providing supervision and support to Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs) to ensure the effective delivery of behavioral interventions. The LBS will monitor client progress, adjust plans as necessary, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes for each client.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs) for individuals, primarily under the age of 21, to determine target behaviors and underlying causes.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) tailored to the specific needs of clients.
- Provide direct support to clients and oversee the implementation of treatment plans by Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs).
- Train and supervise BHTs to ensure fidelity in implementing interventions and to maintain high standards of care.
- Regularly review client progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and provide feedback to the team to ensure effective outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client progress, assessments, and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to ensure a holistic and coordinated approach to care.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations, including documentation and reporting requirements.
- Stay current with research and best practices in behavior analysis and related fields to provide the highest quality services.
Position Requirements:
- Master’s degree or higher in school psychology, clinical psychology, developmental psychology, special education, social work, speech therapy, occupational therapy, professional counseling, behavioral analysis, nursing, or a related field.
- Licensed Behavior Specialist (LBS) in the state of Pennsylvania (or eligible for licensure).
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in conducting functional behavior assessments and developing behavior intervention plans for individuals under 21.
- Experience in providing supervision and training to Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs).
- Strong knowledge of behavior analysis principles, evidence-based interventions, and data collection methods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with families, staff, and other professionals.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
