SAFY is seeking a full-time Lead Shift Supervisor for the Mobile Crisis Program for our Aurora, Colorado division.
As a Lead Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for taking incoming mobile dispatch requests from the Colorado Crisis Services Hotline. SAFY Mobile Crisis Response responds to dispatch requests for specific counties, occasionally helping neighboring counties if needed. The lead is responsible for gathering all applicable information, documenting, and passing the referral off in a timely and accurate manner to the mobile crisis responder on shift. Additionally, the lead is available on scheduled shift for duration to take all calls that come in during their shift. Also, the lead will be available to the responder on shift to aid in documentation, reviewing the case/referral, and problem-solving in a collaborative manner to see that best practice outcomes are followed.

What You’ll Do
Clinical:
- Complete a range of moderately complex clinical services with children, adolescents, and adults. This will include diagnostic assessment, treatment planning, and psychoeducation, tangible skill building, support and crisis navigation.
- Complete all necessary documentation that is required of dispatch data entry.
- Be available for phone calls during your assigned shift as SAFY Mobile Crisis Response is contractually and expected to take every incoming call.
- Applicant must be able to provide reasonable and sound guidance to responders on shift, using best-practices and using the Clinical Director as a resource if faced with situation that needs another input.
- Review files for all clients pertaining to caseload as part of the quality improvement process as necessary to ensure compliance with all required documentation staples.
- Maintain accurate records for all information given by the hotline for mobile dispatch requests.
- Assist in reminding and following up with responders on shifts about any previous day’s work that needs completed as part of documentation compliance.
- Collaborate with existing county Co-Responders and Law Enforcement Assisted Diversion (LEAD) programs as part of the mobile response network.
- As a Lead Shift Supervisor, you may focus heavily on clinical supervision, and provide direct supervision to a larger group of direct reports than other Lead Shift Supervisors.
- As a Lead Shift Supervisor, you may focus on the growth and development of community outreach. You would be the Leadership support to the Peer Specialist program and will have a smaller group of direct reports than other Lead Shift Supervisors.
- Lead, coach, and develop Mobile Crisis Response team. Provide direction to staff in the form of answers to problems and advise staff performance and youth issues.
- Establish performance goals for direct reports and monitor progress.
- Conduct Supervision with direct reports at least 1 time per month.
- Approve Direct Reports Paid Time Off, Timecards and Concur Reporting
- Fill in for various shifts in absence due to vacancy of staff. This may include providing direct services to clients in crisis and clinical support to clients in the absence of a mobile response clinician. In addition, may include provision of direct support for licensing, training, and compliance.
- Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with all levels of SAFY staff by participating in joint meetings, and problem identification and resolution.
- Establish and maintain a supportive and positive working relationship with clients of all ages and demographics, referring agencies, and other SAFY stake holders.
- Attend relevant in-house and external seminars, trainings, conferences, and workshops to develop and enhance knowledge in the designated area as well as achieve relevant education hours per year to enhance professional and job-related skills.
- Attends required meetings within division, region, and central office (team and/or community partners).
- Meets regularly with supervisor to discuss issues and performance.
- Sensitive and responsive to the cultural differences of staff, SAFY youth, foster parents, referral sources and the public.
- Agency agrees to provide Mobile Crisis Services in response to requests from community corrections facilities, detention facilities, jails, courts, pretrial services, probation and parole offices, and any other adult or juvenile justice service in the community unless similar services are already offered in that location and would create duplicative application of services.
- Will be able to collaborate with and may include existing Co-Responder and Law Enforcement Assisted Diversion (LEAD) programs as part of the mobile response network.
- Other duties or special projects as assigned.

Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in the field of social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy or other approved related field of human services.
- Licensure in the State of CO required: LCSW, LMFT, LPC & LP
- One year of crisis experience required, 2 years preferred.
- At least one year in a leadership role in which you consulted with, led, or oversaw at least one other mental health clinician (licensed or unlicensed).
- 6months to 1 year of Mobile Crisis Shift Supervisor experience, preferred.
- One year of experience in guiding, consulting, and problem solving difficult or high conflict cases, with best practice resolution.
- Two years of relevant experience preferred in the field of mental health/therapeutic intervention with children, adolescents, families, and older adults/geriatric.
- Compensation is commensurate with transferrable experience, education and licensure of candidate, location of the position, along with internal equity and budgeted amount for the role.
